MERRY
CHRISTMAS
Wishing everyone a marvelous holiday, no matter what your belief.
Here are some pictures of the gift I gave myself.
His name is Captain Nemo, he’s five months old, a miniature poodle, and he promises to keep me walking every day and to help me think up some new mysteries (or maybe a romance).
Captain Nemo? I like it! Almost as good as Mister Fancypants. I’m saving that one for a future pet. Have a wonderful holiday!
If he had been a she I this Miss Fancypants would have been a good name, just Fancy for short. We’re hoping we can take this boy on the sailboat. Can you imagine him on the bow of a boat with a sailor’s cap on?
reminds me of your mother’ Fifi she had and loved.
I thought of that, too, Janice. Mom’s was white. I wasn’t fussy about the color, but I sure hope this little guy calms down and is as sweet as Mom’s was.
reminds me of FiFi
Congrats on your newest family member. I love having little feet running around the house! I wish you and Captain Nemo all the best!
It’s been thirteen years since I had a puppy. Lots of learning going on with both of us, but he’s keeping me active…and that’s what I need.
He really is cute! Merry Christmas, Maris.
Merry Christmas to you, too, Diane. Cute and full of mischief. We will survive (I hope.)
Glad you gifted yourself with your new puppy. What a cute little guy. Merry Christmas to all!
Well, what choice did I have, Lucy? You kept telling me to get a dog. Merry Christmas.
He certainly seems up to the tasks you’ve given him. ‘Walking – no problem.’ ‘Stories ideas – I’m on it!’ Merry Christmas and congratulations to both of you!
Maris,
Love your gift and so happy for all 3 of you.
We had a poodle when the kids were growing up and I still refer to all dogs as Poodsl We also had a fun poster–long gone–announcing Poodles are People, and ours surely was. Bottons always sat on chairs: near the dinner table when we were eating, in the Vet’s office waiting for an appointment, and everywhere else there were chairs.
Have fun making happy memories.
Happy New Year,
Bonnie
