In my last blog I warned readers not to be scammed. Over the last two months I’ve received emails from “publishers” and marketing specialist offering to help me sell more books. To be honest, I love reading their emails. They love my books.

  For example, this is the opening paragraph from the As the Crow Flies email.:

Congratulations on publishing As the Crow Flies! P.J. Benson’s adventures, from unexpected dangers to the humor of her Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, make for a captivating and entertaining read. I love how you balance suspense, mystery, and character-driven storytelling, keeping readers guessing while connecting with P.J.’s personality and her quirky world. Your ability to mix intrigue with charm makes this series stand out.

The sender was Mary Stone, a book marketing specialist.

She offered to send me, free of charge, a Visibility Snapshot.

And from Olivia Brown, Merketing Mananger (stet) Booksbutterfly 

While reviewing titles in your genre, The Bachelor, The Beauty and The Blizzard instantly stood out. Forced proximity, an unexpected snowstorm, and that unmistakable “grumpy meets sunshine” dynamic, it’s the exact cocktail that romance readers are actively searching for right now.

My gosh, The Bachelor, The Beauty, and the Blizzard was published in the 1990s. I don’t think any of the paperbacks are available, other than at yard sales and used book stores.

Nina also offered to show me, for free, how I could improve my marketing of Something to Crow About I asked her to do so ,and she sent several ideas. I’ liked what she sent and looked at the Morris Publishing website. It’s basically a self-publishing hybrid company that provides several services. It has over a thousand reviews, a 4.5+ rating, with over 90% positive.

 I’m going to give her services a try. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Ha! I’m adding this on Saturday, after this blog was sent. I checked with Morris Publishing, and guess what, they’ve never hear of Nina Alyssa.

IT WAS ANOTHER SCAM!!!
