Some days…

This hasn’t been one of my better days. I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. I know it’s not as cold here in Florida as it is up north, but the temperature still dropped to 45 degrees last night and my husband (who’s always complaining he’s too hot) left the bedroom window open. I tried for two hours to get warm enough so I could fall asleep. Finally, at 2:00 a.m. I heated up at hot/cold pack, warmed up some milk, turned the furnace back on (shut the bedroom door so dh would stay cool and I wasn’t wasting energy), and went to sleep on the living room couch.

Then I discovered my husband had decided the night before to change the alarm from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., so my morning started an hour late. Next I needed to ride my bicycle to art studio (since my husband needed the car) and my art supplies didn’t all fit in my bike’s basket, I almost ruined (or maybe I did) the painting I’ve been working on, and I got a leg cramp while biking back after the painting session.

I couldn’t get a program to download (finally did later in the day), at weigh in discovered I’ve gained back a pound and two ounces that I’d lost last week (not surprised considering we went out to eat three time during the week), and I still can’t find Venice’s Chamber of Commerce even though they clearly mark the way up until the last turn. (At least, that’s what I’m guessing.).

The shoe store didn’t have my size, I received a tax bill in the mail, and…

Well, you get the idea. Some days it’s best to forget writing. I’m going to pour myself a glass of wine, hope it hasn’t turned to vinegar, and snuggle under a blanket until it’s time for bed. Here’s hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

  1. The trouble with partnerships, marriage, is that we agree to give away half of the responsibility to occurances in our daily life; but a hug makes it all worthwhile. Hugs from rohn. I’d like to see the painting. Are you able to take a picture of it with your phone and post it? Rohn
